last 2 months of the year of the house
I don’t know if you remember my brave and bold talk at the beginning of 2006 about how this year was going to be Official Year of the House. Oh, back then we were going to do all kinds of shit to the house – it would be unrecognisable by the end of the year.
Hah.
We got a kitchen fitted (back in March) which, as much as it freed us from having to look at the pig ugly kitchen that was in there before hand, actually brought about more issues than it solved – we found pipes that weren’t supposed to be where they were and after getting a new fridge freezer it didn’t fit in the hole we’d created for it due to a radiator on a wall and one of them pesky pipes being in the wrong place.
Since then, the kitchen has gone completely untouched. We did a bit of tiling one hungover Sunday but that really has been it. So much for Year of the House. More like Year of the Put-It-Off-Till-Winter. We’ve not even re-hung the pictures in the bedroom that we painted last October.
Oh dear. We were due to get a new heating system put in the house in the summer, but we ended up putting it off because we got the offer of a holiday instead so all in all, we’ve been lazy shits and done bob all in our flat.
Anyway – that is all about to change. At the end of the month we’re getting our new windows put in and in Mid November we’re finally getting the heating system done up, which means we can get our fridge freezer OUT of the middle of our kitchen and into the space provided, we can get the kitchen shelved, painted and decorated, we can get the living room finished and it will all be done by the end of next Month.

I have broken mine. Boo. But I’ve seen a new one I’m going to buy so Yay! And after my little buzz fest recently, I got such a positive amount of feedback from you lot on it I thought I’d speak to a few of my non computer friends and have started a bit of a vibro renaissance. My friend M decided to hunt hers out the other day when she was feeling a bit down and had a great old time to herself and another one went out and bought one because she realised what a great stress buster it was and had previously thought it was quite a sleazy thing to do till I talked about all the benefits. Nice. Nice to have orgasms without having to bother anybody else in the process.
