hello did you miss me?
Back.
I’ve been away – did you notice? I had a bit of a chill out with my family and got myself together and had a nice time and have a GOOD tan which is unusual for me, being a peely wally Scottish freak with uncooked sausage coloured skin so it’s all good.
And now I’m back, raring to go. Well, not quite. What can I say? I’ve got a luxurious weekend in a swanky hotel ahead of me, we’re going to our friends wedding on Saturday and we’ve decided to stay on the Friday night too so that we actually get some use of the (very expensive) room we’re staying in. If we went on the Saturday we wouldn’t actually be able to check in until after the wedding finished (1am) and then we have to check out at 11am and of course there’d be drinking between 1am and 11am so really we’d be in the room for about 6 hours before we got punted out. Its going to cost double to stay another night but at least we have somewhere to get ready and can have a nice evening together before the chaos descends.
Which it will.
This is the first friends wedding in ages. In fact, of this particular group of friends (of which there are about 20 so it’s less of a group and more of a rabble) this is the first wedding since OUR wedding 5 ½ years ago. Everybody is going to go crazy.
So, tonight I’m going to visit my beautiful friend Cat to do a wee dress rehearsal and try on stuff and do our make up and things (seriously, I’ve never been this girlie in my life! I love it) and drink copious amounts of blush wine and then tomorrow I shall stagger through the day attempting to do as much work as possible but doing none what so ever due to general excitement and then Bandito is whisking me away at about 5pm for an evening of fine dining and pampering.
Sounds okay to me!!
