my stuff ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the robots will win one day D’oh. Contrary to what some people thought – it wasn’t my birthday over the weekend. It was my friend McDee’s. And the Happy Birthday Lasagne was made by me for her. And me too obviously. And everybody else. You obviously don’t know me very well, because I go on about my birthday MONTHS in advance of the actual event. Which is, for the record on 30 November. And not some random weekend in February. Should’ve made it clearer I suppose. Sorry! Today, I am not in work. I got up, felt really fuggy with a sore throat and a bit of a cold in my head, had a shower, had some coffee, listened to the radio, got dressed, said goodbye to Bandito, lay on the bed with my book and then thought ‘ah fuck it, I’m not going in today’. So far, I’ve finished my book and I’ve watched ‘Neighbours’ and a little bit of Columbo, but my brain can’t take any more chewing gum telly (and also, Judge Judy isn’t on which is the real reason I’ve switched off) so I’m on the computer instead. And back on the frigging solitaire. It is now my firm belief that this game was put on everybody’s computer to send them into melt down. This is the way electronics will take over the world. While people are sat slumped over their computers cursing themselves for taking the black 3 from the pack when they had one sitting on the table all along, the robots are going to take over everything, and as we’re all weeping, stuck in our high tech jail cells, relieved that the hourly anal probing is over for another blissful 59 minutes, they’ll never let us know if the game was created in a way so that it was impossible for us to win or not. Damn. Those. Robots. Oh and now I've come out of my fever enduced ranting - I was on the radio yesterday. Email me if you want me to send you the link. I sound ridiculously Scottish and giggly. Which I am, but somehow the radio has magnified it tenfold. Like TV makes you fatter. Or something. 3:01 pm - 28 February 2006 |
