lip gloss face and soupy season
It was my birthday on Thursday. Hoopla! I was 32. Can you believe it? Thirty-bleeding-Two. Sheesh.
Had a really nice birthday - very quiet on the actual day and then a big birthday meal on Friday night with all my friends. It was actually one of the best behaved birthdays I've had since...oh I don't know - 16 or something. No exaggeration.
It was good though, I'm kind of enjoying a more quiet existence at the moment, it's going to be crazy bonkers mental over the next few weeks, so a bit of r&r with my nearest and dearest is lovely.
It's so unbelievably windy here at the moment - McD's wee boy Eeks got blown over in the playground last week and has broken his foot! Aparantly lots of wee kids are getting blown over in playgrounds. I saw a woman get blown into a bus shelter earlier too. Crazy crazy winds.
Wind is my least favourite weather. It's just rubbish and it fucks up your hair big styleee. It's even worse when you've got lip gloss on - you end up with your hair stuck to your lips and big strips of lip gloss across your cheek. It is NOT a good look and one I sport regularly, due to riding my bike to work.
I'm finding my feet with updating again I think. There's been times when updating has been the LAST thing I wanted to do and now I'm kind of out of that for the time being. I got a digital camera recently (halleluhiah, I've joined the new millennium!) and so I am hoping to turn this more into a nice photo bloggy type thing. Possibly.
So let's wait and see.
Going home tonight to make 2 big pots of soup. One veggie and chilli one and one with sweet potato. It's definitely stodgey food season - going to have haggis, neeps and tatties for tea tonight. Sluuuuuuuuurp.
Right I'm off. Just wanted to get an entry out before another week went past without one....
