all work and no play
You know that saying ‘you can’t see the forest for the trees’? That’s how everything is for me at the moment.
Work has kind of taken over everything at the moment – as you know from my last entry I’m working till 10pm some nights and could seriously do with working even later. I feel under quite a lot of pressure and I’m finding it very frustrating.
If something should be worked out in one phone call, it’s actually taking 8 or 9. Something that could have been cleared up before lunch takes until the next day. I take 2 steps forward and 5 steps back.
It’s not that I’m not enjoying work, but I feel completely sandwiched between the beginning of the day and the end of the day. One is pulling me one way and the other – another. I woke up this morning at 8am and the first thing I thought of was work.
Anyway. I’m just venting. Rather take it out on this page than Bandito.
I’ve promised my lovely smedindy a review of the 5 (count ‘em!) CDs he sent me last week – or the week before, I forget. And I’ve just not had the time. I promise I’ll do it Smed! Suffice it to say that they are not off our stereo at the moment – in fact, Bandito has nicked my favourite one for the car. So – I’ll do something about that soon.
Well. Back to work for me I suppose!
